Shiro gyaru is the opposite of Kuro gyaru. Instead of tanning, they would prefer to keep their skin color light. The shiro gyaru boom started in 2001 when Ayumi Hamasaki rose to fame. Overtime this form of gyaru would become more favored than Kuro gyaru.
