Amura are gyaru that mimic the style of Namie Amuro. It is one of the first substyles of gyaru next to Kogyaru which was also partially inspired by Amuro's style. Namie Amuro is a musician that is considered to be the pioneer of gyaru and Japan's Queen of pop. Amuro's style in the 90s was inspired by supermodels like Naomi Campbell. The style consists of brown dyed hair, mini-skirts, platform boots, and overall tight-fitting clothes.
